Wild Edible Plants


This section is intended as a brief overview of a few edible plants.

Word of caution on using plants for medical purposes: Amount of plant per body weight has not yet been studied to recommend dosages as well as many individuals have had allergic reactions to ginseng, sassafras, and others. When eating edible plants in a survival situation, a small amount the size of a teaspoon and waiting 45 minutes. If there is no nausea, vomiting or cramping one should be fine.
